… Miss Gorgeous…

In late July we said goodbye to the lovely Miss Gorgeous, aged just 4999427_10152062819513409_139454357_n.Shes the fluffy star to be found mostly in the background but will occasionally be seen at the front. Her gentleness will not impact negatively on the other stars, instead she will  be a positive addition with her mutual grooming skills.

A quiet background girl who was naturally photogenic, not just because of her gorgeous coat and markings but also because of that little something else she seemed to possess. Although a Texel guinea pig she had this almost rebellious fringe going on 🙂  All this aside I will remember her most for her talking, her deep low throated purrs would be heard several times a day when food was put in, bedding changed or she was just feeling optimistic, it was almost like she was saying “thank you”!

I took her to Active Vetcare Tilehurst when her eating habits changed and despite not having any spurs she had a mark on her tongue and it was, after inspection of course, assumed she had bitten it. However Miss G. didnt recover, maybe somewhere there was aapril13 spur or some infection there. Or maybe the oral issues were secondary to something else going on. Whilst I find it frustrating not to know exactly everything, for me there is a fine line between doing the best for your guinea and doing too much. No animal should ever suffer, that goes without saying, but it works both ways in my opinion…
