Wheekerpedia: V

V is for:

Vet: Find a good, guinea pig competent vet before you need one, or at least one that is willing to hear your ideas. Do not march into the surgery armed with printouts from the internet on your first visit, respect should be a two way thing. However, if a surgery is not prepared to answer any questions you have then it is probably worth looking elsewhere or maybe approaching an individual vet at that surgery.

Vetark Professional: www.vetark.co.uk Scientifically designed products, developed by an RCVS recognised Specialist veterinarian.

Vicryl: Vicryl as opposed to Catgut should be used for stitching guinea pigs. The extra cost is minimal- just a few pence more!
